On Valentine’s Day, all eyes are on the recipient of a rose delivery at one’s place of employment.
Since times of mythology, roses were believed to be created as symbol of love. In Greek and Roman mythology, roses were associated with beauty and love. William Shakespeare referred to roses in “Romeo and Juliet”.
Individuals of the Victorian Era were deeply fascinated with the language of flowers. They used flowers to express their feelings. Flowers were given on Birthdays and other special occasions. Roses were expressions of emotions and feelings. Red Roses were representations of a passionate and intimate manner of love. In recent times, red roses still represent love and romance.
In the language of flowers, the number of roses in an arrangement has special messages. An arrangement of one dozen signifies the message “Be Mine”. An arrangement of two dozen roses means “ I’m Yours ”.
