Impatient for Spring . . .

Grab a basket and bring Spring indoors!

This time of year is really hard - winter just won’t let go! After Valentine’s Day, Easter displays fill every store. Bring spring indoors with long lasting blooms!!

          You will need:
                   Basket
                   Liner to fit basket
                   Floral foam
                   Waterproof floral tape
                   Bouquet of Mixed
                             Spring Flowers

Take the liner of the basket and cut the floral foam to fit liner. Soak the floral foam at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Place floral foam in liner. I usually place a piece of waterproof tape across the long end of liner. Place the liner in the basket. Place a piece of waterproof tape across the short end of the basket. I sometimes place this piece of tape around the base of the handle.

​I selected a mixed bouquet, to this I added a single pack of yellow daisy pom-poms. Most floral bouquets may only use a single bloom of different varieties of flowers in the selections. I add a single pack of daisy poms-poms to tie the design together. In this selection, I used the single stem of stock as the tallest flower, added the single carnation, mixed blooms of mums, and the alstromeria. I used the yellow daisy pom-poms throughout the arrangement. Be sure to place some yellow blooms close to the base of the basket and close to the floral foam. Enjoy!
