"Festival of Flowers" 2022 Winner . . .

“Pegasus of the Spring” won the People’s Choice Award for 2022!!

The 2022 Annual Event of “Festival of Flowers” was a record breaker we hope not to repeat!! A heavy storm Friday night caused significant damages to displays and vendors. Wind issues cancelled the public activities for Saturday. Repairs were made, and the Saturday Night Event, Buds and Brews proceeded as planned. Sunday’s Event,    Welcome All Wags, was held as scheduled. 

The Winners of the “People’s Choice Award” for best overall Living Plant Sculpture is “Pegasus of the Spring”.  The sculpture was sponsored by CB FLOCK Research Corporation and Wind Creek Casino and Hotel. The Award Winning Contributors are Renee Wallace, Janie Brown Johnson, Leaayn Shurley-Barr, Michele Nolen-Schmidt, Ben Kaiser, MaryElizabeth Kimbrough, Kathleen Kirk Stoves, Doug Johnson. Bay Crown & Bridge, and Paula Ingram Kiszla & her art students. Their amazing sculpture was created using mixed mediums of grasses, mosses, bark, leaves of many different varieties, cushion pom-pom chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, fruits, and cotton. Congratulations to the Team. Great Work!!
