Count down the weeks until Christmas by lighting the candle of the Advent Wreath.
The Advent Wreath has four candles that are lit beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. There are 3 purple candles. and a single pink candle. The first week candle lit is purple for hope. The second candle is also purple for peace. The third candle is pink for Joy. The fourth Candle is purple for love.
I chose to decorate this Advent Wreath with Christmas lights. I began wrapping the Christmas tree lights throughout the wreath. I like to use LED lights. These lights do not get hot, plus use very little energy.
I made the bows with ribbon that is sheer, wired, and has glitter. This allows the lights to shimmer through the ribbon. Place the bows on the wreath in the order of the candles. I placed these bows between the candles, they may also be placed in front of the candle.
I placed the decorated Christmas wreath in the center of a table. Place the Advent wreath form in the center of the Christmas Wreath. Place a candle in each of the candle holders on the Advent Wreath form. Align the candles to bows of the same color. Many people may replace the candles on Christmas Day with all white candles to celebrate.
