For the next poolside party, don’t forget to decorate the pool!
I began this arrangement by soaking a block of wet floral foam cut to the size of the bowl. After soaking, place the foam in the bowl and tape the foam to the bowl. Place bowl in center of float.
Turn upside down and tape the bowl to the underside of the float. This has tape on the top and bottom of the bowl. Turn to bowl and float to upright position.. Add water and preservative to the bowl.
Treating the LED pillar candles the same as wax candles, I placed 2 dowels at the base of each candle. I used floral waterproof tape instead of floral wrap. This creates a stronger bond for these larger candles.
I placed different varieties of greenery in this arrangement. I used the greenery to conceal the foam and to expand the arrangement over the float.
For this arrangement, I chose to use three candles. Place the candles in the arrangement. I placed the tallest in the center toward the back of the greenery. Place the shorter candle to right in front of the taller candle. Add the third candle to the left of the other candles. I made the dowel rods about 5”. I did not allow the candles to rest in the wet foam.
Arrange the assorted flowers throughout the candles and greenery. Be sure to have blooms taller than the candles, with small blooms between the candles. Carry the flowers to the edge of the float. Allow the arrangement to float on water.
