New Christmas lights LED options highlight brighter. This picture was taken without using a flash. Notice how bright the lights are in the decorations. These lights are LED (light-emitting diodes) . The wreath and the candles shed light on the items surrounding them. LED lights offer new alternatives for lighting Holiday decorations. Count down the weeks until Christmas by lighting a candle of the Advent Wreath. I chose to decorate this Advent Wreath with Christmas lights. I began wrapping the Christmas tree lights throughout the wreath. I like to use LED lights. These lights do not get hot, are very bright, plus use very little energy. I made bows with ribbon that is sheer, wired, and has glitter. This allows the lights to shimmer through the ribbon. Place the bows on the wreath in the order of the candles. I placed these bows between the candles, they may also be placed in front of the candle. Remember, DO NOT LEAVE BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED! Enjoy!!
Create an Advent Wreath where the candles never burn down!!! The Advent Wreath has four candles that are lit beginning on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. There are 3 purple candles. and a single pink candle. The first week candle lit is purple for hope. The second candle is also purple for peace. The third candle is pink for Joy. The fourth Candle is purple for love. I love Advent Wreaths, but was scared to use them in my home because of the flame on the candle. I witnessed an Advent Wreath go up in flames at Church one year. I have been looking for a safer way to bring an Advent Wreath into my home. Then, I remembered mechanical candles. ![]() Mechanical candles, used in Weddings, have wax inserts inside a metal tube. As the wax burns, a spring-loaded insert keeps the wick at the top of the candle. The tube never loses the height. The wax inserts burn for about 2 hours, depending on the size of the insert. The mechanical candles I used were white. I removed the rubber ring from the bottom of each candle before painting. I spray painted 3 candles purple and one candle pink. After allowing the candles to dry, I replaced the rubber ring at the bottom of the candle. Places the candles in the wreath form and decorate the wreath. Remember, DO NOT LEAVE BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED! Enjoy!!
A small toothpick holder of small blooms and fall leaves splash color at each place setting! When Thanksgiving is loaded with a bountiful table, be bold with a miniature arrangement for each guest! I used cut-glass toothpick holders filled with small blossoms of red miniature carnations, yellow daisy pom-poms, boxwood greenery and fall leaves. These small arrangements can be made the day before they are needed. It is best to store them in a cool area (about 40-50 degrees). Do not put them in a refrigerator with fresh fruits or vegetables. When ready, place an arrangement by each place setting.
