Bring the Bright Colors of Fall to the Fireplace
Place a bright colorful arrangement on the hearth of the fireplace, although a fire is not lit! Decorating with flowers in the fall can be bright and cheerful. Select mixed bouquets that feature bright colors.
For this arrangement, I chose a fireside basket that is highlighted with wrought iron leaves. I chose a liner that fit the bottom of the basket. Cut floral foam to fill the liner. Secure the foam to the liner with waterproof floral tape. Place the liner in the bottom of the basket.
This arrangement is a mixture of 2 Fall Bouquets. I began by placing leatherleaf and fall leaves in the floral foam, concealing the foam. I placed the largest bloom from the bouquets at the base of the basket. I placed roses above the large gerbera daisy and carnations to the side of the gerbera daisy.
I added height to the arrangement with the placement of the daisy and button pom-poms. Continue to place the daisy and button pom-poms throughout the arrangement. Remember to vary the height of the blooms. Complete the design with addition of goldenrod and statice.

Bring the bright colors of Fall indoors. Add warmth with a copper mug.
Bringing the colors of Fall indoors, do not have to be huge arrangements. A small copper mug filled with vibrant fall flowers and fall leaves can add a ton of color to a small space.
For this arrangement I choose orange carnations, two-tone yellow/orange daisy pom-poms, green button pom-poms and fall leaves. First, cut floral foam to fit the copper mug. Soak the foam until saturated. Place the wet foam in the mug. Add fall leaves to the floral foam, covering the top of the foam, close to the edges.
Cut a carnation about 2.5 times the height of the mug. Place the carnation in the center of the foam. Cut another carnation a little shorter than the first carnation. Place this carnation to the left in front of the first bloom. Place a tall branch of fall leaves between these two carnations. Cut the stems of daisy pom-poms into two pieces. Place the taller stem (from the bottom), at the back of the carnations. Removes blooms of the smaller stem and place them closer to the base of the mug. Cut the stems of green button pom-poms and fill the blooms lower than the yellow daisy blooms. Place small stems of green button pom-poms close to the edge of the mug.
This small arrangement adds dramatic color that can mix with other Fall arrangements.
When decorating the food table for your Halloween Party, have some fun with the floral decorations.
This is a very quick and playful arrangement to fix for your food table. The secret is to soak the floral foam overnight allowing the water to saturate the foam. Cut the foam to fill in extremely close to the opening of the face at the front of the Jack-O-Lantern because the stems of the roses are so short.
Choose rose blooms that are slightly open for the eyes. Place a bloom in each eye cutout. Choose a smaller bloom for the nose. Place the bloom in the cutout for the nose. Choose two tiny buds for the ends of the mouth opening. Place a bloom at each end of the mouth cutout. Choose larger blooms to fill in the rest of the mouth cutout. About three rose blooms should complete the rest of the mouth cutout. I placed a large glass in the bowl with the snacks. Place the Jack-O-Lantern on top of the glass. If the Jack-O-Lantern does not sit securely on the glass, place a small plate on top of the glass. Place the Jack-O-Lantern on the plate. . Fill the bowl with snacks.
When decorating for Halloween, invite the witches!!
Over the years our family has collected so many decorations for Halloween. Include the vintage decorations in the Halloween centerpiece. Here, I have used witches on brooms and used them as focal points. This arrangement is done in reverse to place the decorations last.
For this arrangement I used a cauldron as the container. Place a piece of floral foam to fit the container. Soak the foam until saturated. Place in the container and secure with the waterproof floral tape
The fall flowers I used were variegated orange/red miniature carnations, a packaged mixed bouquet, and salidego. I began the arrangements by placing the fall leaves around the edge of the container. Then, I added the salidego to the fall leaves.
Begin adding the miniature carnations to the arrangement by placing a tall stem to right of the center of the foam. Add more miniature carnations in a circular pattern around the bowl. Add the flowers from the mixed bouquet to the miniature carnations. I used the single spider mum at the top left of the tall miniature carnation. I then used the white alstrameria at the center right and lower left with the miniature carnations.

I attached one of the witches to a wood pick. Secure the witch to the pick with the attached wire. I placed the wood pick at the top of a plastic card holder used by florists. Secure the wood pick to the card holder with floral wrap tape. Place this with at the top center of the arrangement as the focal point. Attach a witch to another card holder and place to the right of the taller witch. Attach another witch to a wood pick. Complete the arrangement by placing this third witch of the left of the arrangement, lower than the witch on the right. Enjoy!!
