Decorating for 4th of July- Add a child’s pinwheel to an arrangement of Red, White and Blue!
For This Arrangement You Will Need:
                             Decorative water bottle
                             Child’s Pinwheel
                             Bag of Marbles
                             Waterproof Floral Tape
                             Red, White, & Blue Flowers

To begin this arrangement, prepare the water bottle to prevent it from tipping over. Add weight to the bottom of the bottle by filling the bottle halfway with marbles. Fill the bottle with water prepared with floral preservative.
I selected red roses, white daisy pom-poms, and blue statice. I began by placing a rose close to the rim of the bottle. Add a second rose taller and behind the first rose. Add the white daisy pom-poms throughout the roses. Add blue statice in between the roses and white daisies.
To add the pinwheel to the arrangement, I wanted to make it taller. I achieved this by taping a heavy plastic straw or a dowel to the wooden rod of the pinwheel. I wrapped the waterproof tape around the rod at the bottom of the rod, and also about 2” higher than the first application of tape. This stabilizes the pinwheel. Place the pinwheel to the back of the arrangement, taller the roses. In centerpieces, place the pinwheel in the center of the floral foam of the  arrangement. Enjoy!!

When decorating for a evening gathering, don’t neglect the lighting!
Maximize decorating for a party by accenting the lighting. Strings of lights throughout the trees are enhanced with small arrangements floating in the air!
          You Will Need:
                   Floral Water Tubes
                   18” #22 Floral Wire
                   Dark Green Floral Wrap Tape
                   Assorted Small Blooms
                   #3 Iridescent Ribbon
                   Sharp Knife

Begin by taping a piece of 18” wire with the dark green floral wrap. Fill each water tube with warm water treated with floral preservative. Wrap the end of the taped wire around the top of the water tube about 2 times.  Bend back the other end of the wire to form a hook to attach to the string of lights.

Using a sharp knife, slit the cap of the water tube to allow additional room for flower stems.  Place a large bloom near the rim of the water tube. Add taller and smaller blooms above these blooms to complete the arrangement. Balance the blooms by allowing the wire hanger to blend in the center of the arrangement. This should keep the flowers standing straight.
Make a bow using the iridescent ribbon. Complete the arrangement by adding the bow to the water tube, below the flowers, to conceal the water tube. Hook the wire over the hanging lights in the center of 2 light bulbs. Try not to allow the flowers to get near the light bulbs. Enjoy!

Really draw attention to the beverages with flowers!
When gathering friends for a “Cool Drink” around the pool, cool down an arrangement with the beverages. Flower arrangements look great on ice.
        You Will Need:
                   Mixed flowers
                   Tumbler
                   Floral Foam

Cut a piece of floral foam to fit the tumbler. Soak the foam until saturated. Place the wet foam in the tumbler, add more water.
In this arrangement, I used Carnations, Miniature Carnations and Button Pom-poms. In my opinion, these varieties endure the best in warm settings.

Begin by creating a triangular shape in greenery. Remember, the tallest blooms should be   1 ½ times the height of the container. The greenery should accent the flowers without covering the blooms. Fill in the center of the container to cover the foam.
This arrangement is using carnations as the focal flower. Place the tallest flower to the center and back of the floral foam. Place a second carnation to the right and lower than the first carnation. Place a third carnation to the left and lower than the second carnation. I used miniature carnations to complete the shape of the triangle. Also, add miniature carnations to the center of the previously place carnations. Try not to have all the blooms at the same height. Add depth to the arrangement by placing Button Pom-poms close to the floral foam and below the red blooms.
After completing the arrangement, place the Tumbler Arrangement in the ice at the back of the beverage ice tub. Enjoy!

Take Dad’s Beer Stein up a notch by adding a flower design!
Add a flower arrangement to a Beer Stein for Father’s Day. Choose flowers that compliment the colors of the designs in the beer stein.

You Will Need:
          Mixed Floral Bouquet
          Floral Foam
          Waterproof Floral Tape
This design is so easy! Begin by cutting a piece of floral foam to fit inside the beer stein. Soak the foam until saturated. Place the floral foam in the beer stein. Secure by place a strip of waterproof floral tape across the top of the foam to the sides of the beer stein.
The colors chosen for this design highlight the dancers on the mug. In this arrangement, I have two focal blooms. The green Fuji mum is placed close to the rim, and the orange Rose above the mum. Carry the colors higher to produce proportions for the container. I used the white alstroemeria as the filler flowers. Enjoy!
