Welcome Spring with a colorful basket of mixed blooms!

After processing and chilling your selection of flowers, create a colorful arrangement in a basket. Remember to place your finished creation in a cool, indirect lit location.
You will need:
                   Bouquet of Mixed Spring Flowers
                   Basket
                   Liner to Fit Basket
                   Floral Foam
                   Waterproof Floral Tape
                   Bottle of Chilled Water

Begin your arrangement by preparing the basket. Find a liner that sits flatly in the basket. Try not to have too much space between the liner and the basket, or too snug. Try not to destroy the liner if it needs to be removed.
Cut a piece of floral foam to fit the liner. Soak the foam until saturated. This may take overnight, depending on the type of foam used. After soaking the foam, place it in the liner and secure o the liner with pieces of waterproof floral tape. Place the liner in the basket.
When using a basket with a handle, place a bloom taller than the handle. Then place blooms at the bottom, near the rim, at each end of the basket. I usually use the same flower or same color for these blooms. In this arrangement, I used blooms in purple, pink, and yellow. Remember to stagger the blooms and not have them touch each other. This allows the flowers in the arrangement to last longer.
After finishing your arrangement, fill the liner with chilled water. This continues the process of conserving the flowers. Be sure to allow the bottom of the basket to dry before placing on furniture.
