Celebrate with an Advent Wreath!! Advent marks four Sundays until Christmas Day. Commemorate each Sunday by lighting a candle on the Advent Wreath. Most are produced using artificial wreaths. This is a precaution because of lit candles. I used mechanical candles painted purple and pink. Mechanical candles, used in weddings, have wax inserts inside a metal tube. As the wax burns, a spring-loaded insert keeps the wick at the top of the candle. The tube never loses the height. Inserts can be reloaded. The wax burns for about 2 hours, depending on the size of the insert. There are many ways to create an Advent Wreath. In this concept, I placed white miniature Christmas lights inside the green wreath. Then, bows of sheer wired ribbon were placed below each candle. Because mechanical candles are used, the candle never burns down to the ribbon. Remember, NEVER LEAVE BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED!
