Continue adding “snow” by using silver, white flowers and Baby’s Breath in the Christmas Dinner Centerpiece!
I chose to use Peppermint Carnations, white Alstromeria, Button Pom-poms, silver ribbon, pine cones, and “iced” artificial greenery along with Baby’s Breath to create this Christmas centerpiece
You will need:
                   Christmas Greenery
                   Peppermint Carnations
                   White Alstromeria
                   White Button Pom-poms
                   Baby’s Breath
                   Silver Tray
                   Liner to fit Tray
                   Floral Foam
                   Silver Ribbon
                   Pine Cones
                   Rose Strippers
                   Floral Waterproof Tape
                   Wood Picks
                   Floral Wrap Tape
Cut a piece of floral foam to fit the liner that will sit inside the silver tray. Soak the foam at least 3 hours. Place the floral foam in the liner and secure with floral waterproof tape. Place the liner in the silver tray.
Cut 2 long piece of Christmas Greenery and strip the needles from the ends using the rose strippers. Place 1 greenery in the floral foam at the end of the tray allowing it to hang about 3 or 4 Inches over the edge of the tray. Repeat adding the other piece of greenery to the opposite end of the tray. Cut smaller pieces of greenery, strip the needles off ends, and place them in the foam along the edges of the tray. These pieces of greenery need to only extend about 1 inch over the edge of the tray. Cut small pieces of greenery, stripping the needles, and place on the top of the floral foam. These pieces should rise about 4 Inches above the foam. Cut more small pieces of greenery and fill in the gap between the top and side of the floral foam.
Cut a carnation to stand about 10” above the table. Place the carnation in the center of the floral foam. Cut 2 carnations to extend about 3 Inches beyond the Christmas greenery at the end of the tray. Place one carnation at the end of the tray into the floral foam. Repeat with the second carnation at the other end of the tray. Cut 2 Carnations to be placed shorter the carnation in the center of the arrangement. Place one carnation to the left and behind the center carnation, and the other carnation to the right and in front of the center carnation. Cut 2 more carnations to go between the last 2 carnations and the carnations on the ends of the tray. Place them in the foam to the front and back of the arrangement. Cut 2 last carnations to rest on the base of the tray about 1 inch over the Christmas greenery. Place alstromeria stems in the floral foam below the carnations.
I make a bow effect in the arrangement by placing loops of ribbon throughout the arrangement. Place the loops on wood picks and secure with the floral wrap tape. Place the picks in the floral foam. Add streamers to wood picks and place at the ends of the tray.
Add the button pom-poms close to the floral foam. This creates dimension to the arrangement. Add “snow” to the arrangement by adding Baby’s Breath.
Add more sparkle to the arrangement by adding pieces of artificial greenery that looks like there are pieces of ice resting on the greenery. Cut large pieces into smaller pieces and attach to wood picks. This adds even more sparkle!
