At your Fourth of July gathering, add fireworks to the party. Create a centerpiece of Red, White and Blue flowers and Large Firecrackers!
            You will need:
                       Artificial Party Firecrackers
                      4” Wood Picks
                      Floral Wrap Tape
                      Waterproof Tape
                      Medium bowl
                      Wet Floral Foam
                      Blue Hydrangeas
                      Red Carnations
                      White Daisy Pom-poms
Select and prepare your fresh floral choices at least a day early.  Process the flowers and allow them to drink water. Soak the foam at least overnight.  Cut the floral foam to fit the bowl you selected. Place pieces of waterproof floral tape across the top of the bowl crisscrossing, forming a cross. This will hold the floral foam to the bowl.

Prepare the artificial firecracker as you would centerpiece candles. Take 4” wood picks and remove the wire. Take floral wrap tape and wrap around bottom of firecracker. Place one of the wood picks in the center of the tape and tape on top of the pick to secure it to the firecracker. Continue taping, placing the second pick on the opposite side of the firecracker, continue taping over the wood picks.

I began this arrangement by placing the hydrangeas low and to each side of the bowl. I cut the daisy poms into two pieces. The top fuller blooms were place in the base of the arrangement with the hydrangeas.

I then added the firecrackers. I place the tallest blue firecracker in the center of the arrangement. I placed the red firecracker on the right side of the arrangement, then the striped firecracker on the opposite side of the arrangement. I then added the red carnations, placing the first bloom almost as tall as the blue firecracker. This allows the firecracker to remain the center of the arrangement. Add more carnations by placing the flower lower and to the side of the firecracker. Continue adding carnations lower and  going around the arrangement. Complete the arrangement by filling the longer remaining stems of daisy poms close to the tall red carnations. This adds dimension to the arrangement.
